Whether you
are just beginning to explore Christianity, or you are a long-time follower of
Jesus, you are on a spiritual journey. Like any journey, a successful spiritual
journey requires knowing where you want to go, deciding what you need to get
there, and then moving forward. At Grace we want to support you in identifying
next steps needed in your spiritual journey, and then to provide the classes,
resources, and experiences that will help you make intentional progress.
We have several opportunities on Sunday morning to help you do just that. Adult classes are held during both the 9:00 am and 10:30 am services. The current offerings are listed below. For a schedule of when future classes begin and end, click here.

Knowledge apart from application falls short of God’s desire for His Children. Much of the study we do as Christians can be focused on gaining more and more knowledge. This class will focus on applying what we learn so that we will change and grow. To benefit most from this time we encourage you to consider the class a “spiritual journey” as we read and share what the Lord is doing in our lives.
This small group, discussion based class will use a study/workbook / journal prepared by Chuck Swindoll to guide the class as we work together to apply the Biblical truth that will move us all closer to Christ and transform our lives! If you are seeking a closer walk with Christ—come join us.
Old Testament Survey Pastor Al Room 203 *Category Code: B/T Dates: Blocks 1 & 2 - September 6th to November 22nd
In this course we will understand the flow of the Old Testament concerning the major persons, places and events. We will focus our attention on reading and studying certain key passages from God’s Word. By the end of the course you will have a better understanding of God’s redemptive plan for your life.
Essentials of Discipline: What’s OK, What’s Not and What Works Pastor Shannon Room 202 *Category Code: BR Dates: Blocks 1 & 2 - September 6th to November 22nd
Parenthood is one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences most of us will ever have! But in the middle of busy days, runny noses, and carpooling, we sometimes forget to enjoy the journey. In this DVD based, 12 week course we want to seek answers, insights, and solutions to one of the greatest challenges every parent encounters, discipline. We will be discussing the following questions: How do we know whether we’re being too strict or too permissive? How do we deal with a strong-willed child? How should our tactics change as our child grows? Every child is different, so what’s best for my child and family?
Our goal is to gain the practical understanding, dynamic biblical principles, and encouragement we need to shape our child’s will without breaking his or her spirit, and feel confident in our ability to handle discipline in a positive way.
An Ordinary Day with Jesus Ronda Chaney Room 201 *Category Code: SP Dates: Blocks 1 & 2 - September 6th to November 22nd
Have you ever wondered what “practicing the presence of God” means, or “what is abiding with God?” An Ordinary Day with Jesus helps to define how we, as God’s children, fellowship with Him day to day, moment by moment in our everyday lives/activities. How do we abide with Jesus while we are sleeping, grocery shopping, working, and raising our kids?
Topics include: • Reviewing your day with God • Learning from difficult people • Silence and competing voices in order to hear God's leadings • Experiencing time alone with God as an opportunity, not an obligation • Using you own unique spiritual pathway to connect with God • Eliminating hurry and simplifying your pace of life When this starts to happen consistently, life gets exciting-because when we start experiencing the reality of God's presence with us every day, life isn't ordinary any more!
Prayer, Praise and Testimony Sean Kramer Main Office Suite Dates: Ongoing *Category Code: SP
Prayer is vital to both who we are in Christ and the ministry at Grace. Each Sunday morning at 9:00am a group will gather in the Main Office Suite to both commit to the Lord the ministry taking place that morning but also to share praises and testimonies of what God is doing in each others lives.
Young Adult Ministry - Don't Waste Your Life Ryan Aument Room 208 *Category Code: B/T Dates: Ongoing
Author John Piper challenges us to set aside the trivial pursuit of self-fulfillment so that we can develop a deeper passion for God. Piper believes that if we passionately submit the sufferings we endure, the risks we take, and the goals we set to the pursuit of God's glory, then not one moment of our lives will be wasted. Don't miss this opportunity to rekindle your passion for the cross of Christ and the glory of God.
10:30 am Classes
The Rapture and Other Reflections on the Last Days Harry Downs Room 201 *Category Code: B/T Dates: Blocks 1 & 2 - September 6th to November 22nd
The next major event in biblical prophecy could be the Rapture. What is our responsibility as Christians knowing the Great Tribulation could be coming soon? What does the Bible say about the Antichrist, the Second Coming of Christ, and His literal return to earth? How do we react to all the turmoil that is going on in the world today? What will it be like to miss the Rapture? What impact does that have on what we do now? Matthew 24:36 says "No one knows about that day or hour..." But we are to live our lives as though His return is imminent.
Daniel Chuck Lewis Room 205 *Category Code: B/T Dates: Blocks 1 & 2 - September 6th to November 22nd
Daniel is a book that reveals the hand of God at work in the lives of individuals as well as over world affairs. God is seen working in the redemption and protection of individuals who chose to trust Him, and in the judgment of those who chose to reject His authority. Daniel reveals God as sovereign over the Kings and kingdoms of the world.
Although shorter than prophetic books like Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, the book of Daniel is the most comprehensive and sweeping revelation recorded by any prophet of the Old Testament. What we learn from studying the prophecies of Daniel make understanding Revelation much easier.
