The Purpose and Goals of Our Music Ministry:
Music - a Ministry of Worship
It is our desire to develop excellence and skill in musicians, emphasizing their need to be in God’s Word so that music will be an outflow of time spent with the Lord.
Vision Statement
Striving to present every musician mature in Christ as they use their gifts to point others towards Loving God, Loving Others and Impacting Our World. While our goal is to glorify God in song, we desire to see souls won for the Kingdom, hearts encouraged and burdens lifted. Music is sometimes the only way to reach hearts. We pray our musicians point others to the author of music.
Music Team
There is a team made up of five musicians who meet quarterly to discuss and plan the musical activities of our church. Special events such as our Musicale/Hymn Sing are under the direction of this team. Special music for two morning worship services, Traditions (9:00) and Generations (10:30) and the 8:00 AM Willow Valley Chapel service is organized by the Music Team.
Music Ministry - Worship Resource Team
This team is comprised of ministry leaders involved in praise and worship. They lead and/or plan all of the praise and worship elements of our services. This group periodically offers MusiConnect workshops for those interested in participating in praise and worship at Grace.
Grace Choir
Our Grace Choir sings at Traditions and Generations twice each month from September through April. The choir presents two musicals at church and also ministers with regularity at Water Street Rescue Mission.
Special Music is heard weekly during the Traditions and Generations services and also for the worship service at Willow Valley Chapel.
Student Ministries Worship Team
This group leads worship time during Bible Fellowship time. They also lead worship occasionally at The Gathering.
Worship Teams
We have several Worship Teams that minister during both of our 10:30 AM Sunday services.
