Local Ministry Opportunities:
Check out this list of dates for local ministry opportunities. Additional information about each activity is below.
Back-to-School Supplies: August
We are collecting school supplies for students in need at Elizabeth Martin Elementary School. Our goal is to stuff backpacks full of supplies for students who can not afford them. You can impact our local community by donating any of the following: pencils, colored pencils, erasers, pens, paper, notebooks, crayons, markers, glue sticks, 2 pocket folders, and backpacks. Please place your donations in the boxes at either Hospitality Center at Grace Church. Volunteers are also needed to help stuff and deliver the backpacks. Please contact Pastor Shannon if you have any questions about donations or to volunteer to help.
Lampeter Fair Booth: Wednesday - Friday, Sept. 23-25
Each year Grace Church sponsors a booth at the West Lampeter Community Fair. Our booth will include a baby comfort station and an area to distribute information about the ministries and opportunities at Grace Church. Volunteers are needed to help design, set up, staff, and tear down our booth. Volunteers staffing the booth will be distributing free popcorn, Bibles, tracts, and other giveaway items. If you are interested in volunteering to help with this project, please contact Pastor Shannon.
Power Packs Project: (Fridays from Oct - Early June)
Each week the Power Packs Project has volunteers distribute bags of food to help ease hunger during the weekends (when school is not is session). All the participating children rely on free school breakfasts and lunches for their nutritional needs. Grace Church has partnered with the Power Packs Project to distribute food to 14 families from Elizabeth Martin Elementary School. Each Friday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM volunteers from Grace Church pick up the food from a distribution center in Lancaster, repack the food for each family, and then distribute the food to the families at E. Martin Elementary School. If you are interested in volunteering to help with this project, please contact Pastor Shannon.
